Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Physician at Siloam Family Health Care

In her first year of medical school at Vanderbilt, Kristen Ehst realized that she wanted to practice in an underserved community. Throughout her medical training, several clinical experiences she had in Tennessee and abroad solidified her calling and “provided a realistic perspective to the creativity, perseverance, and steadfast encouragement needed when providing care for underserved populations.”
With the help of The Rural Partnership, Dr. Ehst is now a staff physician in internal medicine and pediatrics at Siloam Family Health Center. “I feel so blessed to have the privilege of partnering with the staff at Siloam Family Health Center, and I look forward to the joy of serving in this community.”
Siloam Family Health Center is committed to caring for the uninsured in Middle Tennessee by providing high-quality, affordable health care that meets the needs of the whole person — physical, emotional and spiritual. Siloam’s health care program is designed to be culturally sensitive, preserve dignity and reflect its mission. Staff, volunteers and donors carry out a ministry of health, healing and hope for those who are underserved and have few options for medical care.
